Hotel del Coronado is an iconic and historic resort nestled on Coronado Island near downtown San Diego. Built in 1888, this luxurious property is one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world, blending timeless charm with modern amenities following a recent expansion. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in pastry or baking preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow recipes and production guidelines accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and creativity in pastry preparation
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare all food items according to standard recipes and ensuring production requirements are met for all aspects of banquet, outlet desserts, breads and breakfast pastries
  • Monitor age and condition of all food items to rotate and maintain highest quality
  • Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards
  • Keep all refrigeration equipment, storage and working areas clean and clutter free, complying with Health department regulations
  • Develop new products for a-la-carte and catering menus, as needed
  • Display and set baked products on mobile carts according to specifications
  • Prepare daily requisitions for supplies and food items
