Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary Arts degree preferred
  • Two years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to stand and walk frequently
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Must pass gaming licensure background check including credit, criminal, and drug screening
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, noisy, and crowded casino environment
  • Compliance with Seminole Tribe employment preferences

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary Arts degree preferred
  • Two years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of pastry techniques and menu items
  • Ability to follow recipes and recreate menu items
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • Familiarity with health department codes and safety regulations
  • Understanding of responsible gaming and alcohol service policies
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Job Duties

  • Assist in preparation of cakes, cookies, pies, puddings or desserts according to recipes
  • Maintain Bake Shop in a clean and sanitary manner in accordance with health department codes
  • Maintain a safe, hazard-free work environment
  • Exhibit conduct in accordance with Gaming Commission Regulations and departmental policies
  • Control the function of the section and contribute to Food and Beverage Department profit
  • Ensure all menus and food produced meet management standards
  • Recreate recipes, techniques and menu items as directed
  • Conduct on-the-job training sessions with staff
  • Prepare daily food requirements and daily specials for the section
  • Communicate with chefs to order proper quantities for following shifts
  • Ensure service is fast, fun, friendly, fresh and focused
  • Ensure proper preparation, storage, sanitation and general hygiene
  • Conduct regular cleaning within kitchen outlets
  • Notify appropriate managers of concerns regarding responsible gaming and alcohol service
  • Demonstrate actions that reinforce company’s mission and values
  • Notify managers or Ethics Hotline of any illegal acts or ethics violations
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, legal, and ethical standards
  • Possess knowledge of full pastry menu and techniques
  • Perform other duties as assigned
