Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 2 years of relevant baking or culinary work experience
  • ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for long periods
  • familiarity with food safety handling practices
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work full-time
  • compliant with company policies and procedures
  • legal authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Technical, trade, or vocational school degree preferred
  • at least 2 years of related baking or culinary experience
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to follow recipes and food preparation checklists accurately
  • strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • good communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • physical stamina to perform kitchen duties
  • commitment to company Gold Standards and service values
  • no supervisory experience required

Job Duties

  • Prepare breads and pastries including doughs and fillings
  • proof, bake, and decorate baked goods as appropriate
  • review production sheet to understand daily baked goods variety
  • prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food prep checklists
  • maintain kitchen logs ensuring food safety program compliance
  • inform Chef of excess food items to aid daily specials planning
  • safely use baking and measuring tools, equipment, and appliances
  • follow food safety handling policies including personal hygiene procedures
  • check and ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food, report issues
  • monitor food quality and portion sizes throughout shift
  • assist management in employee hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching
  • serve as role model and mentor in the department
  • comply with company policies including safety and security
  • report accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions
  • complete safety training and certifications
  • maintain clean and professional uniform and appearance
  • maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • protect company assets
  • communicate professionally and use proper telephone etiquette
  • develop positive working relationships and support team goals
  • handle sensitive issues with tact and confidentiality
  • perform physical tasks including moving, lifting, and working on various surfaces
  • perform other reasonable duties as requested by Supervisors
