Job Requirements
- Technical, trade, or vocational school diploma
- minimum 2 years of related work experience

Job Duties
- Prepare breads and pastries including doughs and fillings
- test, bake, and decorate baked products as required
- review daily production sheets to determine baking needs
- prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines
- maintain kitchen records to comply with food safety programs
- inform kitchen management of food surpluses for special planning
- safely use kitchen tools, equipment, and appliances for baking
- follow and ensure compliance with food handling safety policies including personal hygiene
- verify correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food, reporting issues to management
- monitor food quality and portion sizes throughout the workday
- assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, advising, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees
- comply with all company policies and safety procedures
- report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions
- conduct safety training and certification
- maintain clean and professional personal appearance
- protect proprietary company information and assets
- communicate clearly and professionally with others
- handle phones using proper protocols
- cultivate positive work relationships and support the team
- handle sensitive issues with tact, respect, and confidentiality
- act as a departmental mentor or model
- meet quality and service standards
- move and lift objects up to 25 pounds
