Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience in baking or pastry preparation
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Willingness to work full-time
  • Compliance with food safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • Technical, trade, or vocational school degree
  • At least 2 years of related work experience
  • No supervisory experience
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Capacity to work as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail in food preparation and presentation

Job Duties

  • Prepare breads and pastries including doughs, fillings, proofing, baking, and decorating
  • Review production sheet to determine baked goods for daily preparation
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality, presentation standards, and food prep checklists
  • Maintain kitchen logs for food safety program compliance
  • Monitor quality of food prepared and portions served throughout shift
  • Safely use baking and measuring tools, equipment, and appliances
  • Follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and personal hygiene procedures
