Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • capability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively
  • commitment to providing exceptional guest service
  • ability to mentor or lead others is a plus

Job Duties

  • Prepare breads and pastries including doughs and fillings according to recipes and quality standards
  • review daily production sheets to determine baked goods requirements
  • bake, taste, and decorate baked items as required
  • maintain kitchen records to comply with food safety programs
  • inform chef about excess food products for daily specials planning
  • safely and properly use kitchen tools, equipment and appliances for baking and food preparation
  • adhere to food handling safety and personal hygiene policies
  • monitor kitchen appliance and food temperatures and report issues to management
  • ensure food quality and portion control throughout the workday
  • assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, coaching, disciplining, motivating and training employees
  • comply with company policies including safety and report accidents and unsafe conditions
  • maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
  • communicate clearly and professionally including phone protocols
  • foster positive work relationships and support team objectives
  • handle sensitive matters with tact and confidentiality
  • serve as a role model or mentor for the department
  • meet quality expectations and standards
  • move, lift, transport, push, drag, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds independently
  • work on inclined, uneven or slippery surfaces
  • perform physical activities including reaching above head, stooping and bending
  • stand, sit or walk for extended periods
  • perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors
