Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in pastry production or baking
  • Ability to follow established recipes and production guidelines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization
  • Physical ability to perform kitchen duties including lifting and standing for extended periods
  • Availability to work full-time schedule
  • Commitment to upholding food safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a 4 Diamond or 4 Star hotel or restaurant
  • Solid knowledge of pastry and baked goods
  • Proficient knife handling skills
  • Ability to calculate recipe yields, serving sizes, weight and temperature conversions
  • Associates Degree in Baking and Pastry is a plus
  • Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well within a team of Food and Beverage professionals

Job Duties

  • Prepare breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries for all F&B outlets per established recipes
  • Ensure all food items are plated professionally
  • Assist in determining the appropriate quantity of baked goods for each F&B outlet
  • Taste test pastry items made from production to ensure consistent quality
  • Complete production records accurately and timely
  • Assist in developing new products for a la carte and catering menus on a rotating basis
  • Clean equipment and workstations thoroughly during and at the end of each shift to maintain proper sanitation and orderliness
