Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in pastry production or baking
- Ability to follow established recipes and production guidelines
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization
- Physical ability to perform kitchen duties including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Availability to work full-time schedule
- Commitment to upholding food safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a 4 Diamond or 4 Star hotel or restaurant
- Solid knowledge of pastry and baked goods
- Proficient knife handling skills
- Ability to calculate recipe yields, serving sizes, weight and temperature conversions
- Associates Degree in Baking and Pastry is a plus
- Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well within a team of Food and Beverage professionals
Job Duties
- Prepare breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries for all F&B outlets per established recipes
- Ensure all food items are plated professionally
- Assist in determining the appropriate quantity of baked goods for each F&B outlet
- Taste test pastry items made from production to ensure consistent quality
- Complete production records accurately and timely
- Assist in developing new products for a la carte and catering menus on a rotating basis
- Clean equipment and workstations thoroughly during and at the end of each shift to maintain proper sanitation and orderliness
