Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant culinary or baking experience
  • Ability to follow established recipes and sanitation guidelines
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a 4 Diamond or 4 Star hotel or restaurant
  • Solid knife handling skills
  • Knowledge of pastry and baked goods
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as recipe yields, serving size, weight and temperature conversion
  • Associates Degree in Baking and Pastry (preferred but not required)
  • Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries for all F&B outlets per established recipes
  • Use attention to detail to ensure all food items are plated professionally
  • Assist in determining appropriate quantity of baked goods for each F&B outlet
  • Taste test pastry items made from production to ensure consistent quality
  • Complete production records in an accurate and timely manner
  • Assist in developing new products for a la carte and catering menus on a rotating basis
  • Clean equipment and workstations thoroughly during and at the end of each shift to maintain proper sanitation and orderliness
