Job Requirements

  • Diploma from a technical, trade, or vocational school
  • minimum of 3 years related work experience
  • no supervisory experience required
  • no license or certification required
  • ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds
  • strong communication skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare specialty foods or replace products as needed
  • regulate oven, grill, and roaster temperatures
  • remove foods from freezer and thaw properly in the refrigerator
  • ensure proper portion control, plating, and garnishing of dishes
  • maintain food records and control quality and quantity of prepared foods
  • communicate staffing needs during busy periods
  • inform kitchen management about excess food for daily specials
  • notify food and beverage staff about rejected products and daily specials
  • ensure food quality standards are met
  • prepare and cook according to recipes, quality standards, presentation guidelines, and food preparation checklists
  • prepare cold dishes
  • assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees
  • comply with all company safety policies and procedures
  • report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
  • maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
  • anticipate and attend to guest service needs
  • communicate clearly and professionally
  • foster positive working relationships and teamwork
  • ensure compliance with quality and expectation standards
  • perform physical activities such as standing, sitting, walking for prolonged periods, stretching, and lifting up to 25 pounds
  • perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors
