Job Requirements

  • technical, trade or vocational school diploma
  • at least 2 years of related work experience
  • no supervisory experience required
  • able to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds
  • able to stand, walk or sit for long periods
  • able to work on uneven or slippery surfaces
  • able to stretch, crouch, twist, and bend as needed
  • adherence to company policies and safety procedures

Job Duties

  • prepare breads and pastries as well as doughs and fillings
  • test, bake, and decorate bakery items according to recipes and quality standards
  • review production schedule to plan daily baked goods
  • maintain kitchen records to comply with food safety requirements
  • communicate surplus food items to executive chef for daily specials planning
  • use kitchen tools and equipment safely and properly
  • follow food handling and personal hygiene policies and procedures
