Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in baking and pastry preparation
  • Ability to follow recipes and adhere to food safety standards
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Physical capability to handle long periods of standing and repetitive tasks
  • Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a 4 Diamond or 4 Star hotel or restaurant
  • Strong knife handling skills
  • Knowledge of pastry and baked goods
  • Ability to calculate figures such as recipe yields, serving size, weight and temperature conversion
  • Associates Degree in Baking and Pastry preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of sanitation and organization

Job Duties

  • Prepare breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries for all Food and Beverage outlets per established recipes
  • Ensure all food items are plated professionally with attention to detail
  • Assist in determining appropriate quantities of baked goods for each outlet
  • Conduct taste tests on pastry items to ensure consistent quality
  • Complete production records accurately and timely
  • Assist in developing new products for a la carte and catering menus on a rotating basis
  • Clean equipment and workstations thoroughly during and at the end of each shift to maintain sanitation and organization
