Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous baking and pastry experience in a hotel or restaurant setting
- Ability to follow established recipes and production standards
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation
- Ability to stand and work for extended periods
- Effective communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a 4 Diamond or 4 Star hotel or restaurant
- Solid knife handling skills
- Knowledge of pastry and baked goods
- Ability to calculate recipe yields, serving sizes, weight and temperature conversions
- Associates Degree in Baking and Pastry preferred
- Positive and hard-working attitude
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Prepare breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries according to established recipes
- Ensure all food items are plated professionally
- Assist in determining appropriate quantities of baked goods for F&B outlets
- Taste test pastry items to ensure consistent quality
- Complete production records accurately and timely
- Develop new products for a la carte and catering menus
- Clean equipment and workstations thoroughly during and after shifts
