Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous pastry or baking experience
- ability to work in fast-paced environment
- attention to detail and commitment to maintaining sanitation
- strong organizational skills
- ability to follow recipes and measurements accurately
- flexibility to work varying shifts
Job Qualifications
- previous experience in a 4 Diamond or 4 Star hotel or restaurant
- solid knife handling skills
- knowledge of pastry and baked goods
- ability to calculate recipe yields, serving sizes, weight and temperature conversion
- good teamwork and communication skills
- associates degree in Baking and Pastry preferred
Job Duties
- prepare breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries per established recipes
- ensure all food items are plated professionally
- assist in determining appropriate quantity of baked goods for each outlet
- taste test pastry items for consistent quality
- complete production records accurately and timely
- assist in developing new a la carte and catering products
- clean equipment and workstations thoroughly during and after shifts
