Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous pastry or baking experience
  • ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • attention to detail and commitment to maintaining sanitation
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to follow recipes and measurements accurately
  • flexibility to work varying shifts

Job Qualifications

  • previous experience in a 4 Diamond or 4 Star hotel or restaurant
  • solid knife handling skills
  • knowledge of pastry and baked goods
  • ability to calculate recipe yields, serving sizes, weight and temperature conversion
  • good teamwork and communication skills
  • associates degree in Baking and Pastry preferred

Job Duties

  • prepare breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries per established recipes
  • ensure all food items are plated professionally
  • assist in determining appropriate quantity of baked goods for each outlet
  • taste test pastry items for consistent quality
  • complete production records accurately and timely
  • assist in developing new a la carte and catering products
  • clean equipment and workstations thoroughly during and after shifts
