Job Qualifications

Previous experience in a 4 Diamond or 4 Star hotel or restaurant
Knowledge of pastry and baked goods preparation
Ability to calculate recipe yields, serving sizes, weight and temperature conversions
Solid knife handling skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Associates Degree in Baking and Pastry (preferred)

Job Duties

Prepare breads, pies, cakes, cookies, and other pastries per established recipes
Plate all food items professionally ensuring attention to detail
Assist in determining quantities of baked goods for each food and beverage outlet
Conduct taste tests to ensure consistent quality of pastry items
Complete production records accurately and timely
Assist in developing new products for a la carte and catering menus
Clean equipment and workstations thoroughly during and at the end of each shift to maintain sanitation
