Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a 4 Diamond or 4 Star hotel or restaurant
  • Knowledge of pastry and baked goods preparation
  • Ability to calculate recipe yields, serving sizes, weight and temperature conversions
  • Solid knife handling skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Associates Degree in Baking and Pastry (preferred)

Job Duties

  • Prepare breads, pies, cakes, cookies, and other pastries per established recipes
  • Plate all food items professionally ensuring attention to detail
  • Assist in determining quantities of baked goods for each food and beverage outlet
  • Conduct taste tests to ensure consistent quality of pastry items
  • Complete production records accurately and timely
  • Assist in developing new products for a la carte and catering menus
  • Clean equipment and workstations thoroughly during and at the end of each shift to maintain sanitation
