Job Requirements

  • technical, trade, or vocational school diploma
  • minimum two years of related work experience
  • ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods

Job Duties

  • prepare breads and pastries including doughs and fillings
  • test, bake, and decorate according to recipes and quality standards
  • review production sheets to understand daily baked goods requirements
  • maintain food safety records and comply with food safety programs
  • monitor oven and food temperatures and report issues to management
  • ensure quality of food preparation and portion control during shifts
  • assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, advising, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees
  • follow safety policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions
  • maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
  • communicate clearly and professionally
  • foster positive working relationships and support team goals
  • handle sensitive issues with tact, respect, and confidentiality
  • act as a departmental role model or mentor
  • comply with company expectations and quality standards
  • move and lift objects up to 25 pounds
  • stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • perform other reasonable duties as assigned
