Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- two or more years experience in pastry cooking or baking
- ability to stand and walk for long periods
- ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently
- ability to push and/or pull up to 90 pounds with assistance
- willingness to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
- ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
- adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to follow detailed recipes and instructions
Job Qualifications
- Two or more years experience as a pastry cook or baker
- strong work ethic and positive attitude
- ability to work collaboratively as a team player
- knowledge of bakery production techniques and pastry equipment
- ability to follow established recipes and presentation standards
- experience with inventory management and cost analysis
- flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Responsible for startup of kitchen equipment
- responsible for organization and production of daily pastry orders, special requests, and production
- prepare all plated desserts, chocolates, confections, entremets, frozen desserts, glazes, pies, cakes, and other bakery items in accordance with established recipe and presentation standards
- daily baking of breakfast and other breads for each restaurant
- dessert pars and garnishes
- specialty cakes and pies
- consulting with Pastry Chef in the planning of desserts for large functions
