Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in pastry production
  • knowledge and experience in various pastry techniques
  • ability to work varied shifts including early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
  • positive team-oriented attitude
  • compliance with food safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in pastry production in a high-volume environment
  • knowledge and experience in various pastry techniques including dough, batter, cakes, cake and pastry finishing, and strong piping skills
  • previous experience with cake assembly and decorating including layer cakes
  • previous experience as a pastry line cook or possess pastry and dessert plating skills
  • knowledge of baking times and commercial pastry equipment
  • positive, team forward attitude
  • ability to work a varied schedule that includes early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
  • pastry or culinary school experience is a plus

Job Duties

  • Prepare pastry food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
  • maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards
  • stock, maintain and ensure proper storage and refrigeration of an adequate supply of all prepared product
  • develop new products for a-la-carte and catering menus, as needed
  • practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
  • display and set baked products on mobile carts according to specifications
  • prepare daily requisitions for supplies and food items
