Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience in pastry production in a high-volume environment
- Knowledge and experience in pastry techniques and cake decorating
- Ability to work varied schedules including early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
- Positive team attitude
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and comply with food safety standards
- Knowledge of baking times and commercial equipment
- Culinary school experience is a plus
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in pastry production in a high-volume environment, preferably a hotel or commissary bakery setting
- Knowledge and experience in various pastry techniques including dough, batter, cakes, cake and pastry finishing, and strong piping skills
- Previous experience with cake assembly and decorating including layer cakes
- Previous experience as a pastry line cook or possess pastry and dessert plating skills
- Knowledge of baking times and commercial pastry equipment
- Positive, team forward attitude
- Ability to work a varied schedule that includes early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
- Pastry or culinary school experience is a plus
Job Duties
- Prepare pastry food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards
- Stock, maintain and ensure proper storage and refrigeration of an adequate supply of all prepared product
- Develop new products for a-la-carte and catering menus, as needed
- Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
- Display and set baked products on mobile carts according to specifications
- Prepare daily requisitions for supplies and food items
