Job Requirements

  • Experience in the hospitality or food service industry is preferred
  • Personable and enjoys engaging with guests
  • Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Knowledge of baking techniques and the pastry-making process
  • Ability to build relationships and embrace change
  • Ability to safely lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting

Job Duties

  • Organize and manage the pastry section of the kitchen to make sure work environment is successful
  • Preparing ingredients and maintain kitchen equipment
  • Creating pastries and baked goods
  • Create new recipes for seasonal menus
  • Decorating pastries and desserts
  • Keep inventory of the stock of baking ingredients
  • Ordering supplies, ingredients, and equipment for the pastry section
  • Ensuring their section of the kitchen adheres to safety and health regulations
  • Train and supervise new team members
