Job Requirements
- At least 2 years experience working in a professional kitchen
- Must be able to work under a certified master chef
- Availability to work all shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must maintain high food safety and hygiene standards
- Physical ability to lift heavy ingredients and stand for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a pastry cook or baker
- Formal culinary training or certification in pastry arts is preferred
- Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and processes
- Strong attention to detail, particularly with presentation and flavor combinations
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to lift heavy bags of flour, sugar, and other ingredients, and stand for long periods
Job Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, cakes, cookies, and other baked goods
- Follow recipes and maintain consistency in taste and presentation
- Create and decorate pastries and desserts to a high standard
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met
- Manage the inventory of baking ingredients and ensure proper storage
- Work with the kitchen team to meet production timelines and service needs
- Assist in creating new menu items and special dessert offerings
