Job Requirements
- High school diploma or the equivalent required
- Demonstrated knowledge of commercial baking
- Ability to follow instructions and cook according to menus and recipes
- Must be able to stand 5-6 hours a day and to squat, reach and bend on a regular basis
- Must have knowledge of food storage and handling techniques
- Regular and consistent attendance at work
- Ability to work in a kitchen setting with occasional sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling
- Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds
- Constant standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, tasting and smelling
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Demonstrated knowledge of commercial baking
- Professional baking experience
- Preference given to candidates with a post high school degree
- Preference given to candidates with a minimum of two years full-time experience in a related hospitality setting or the equivalent education and related work experience
Job Duties
- Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices
- Substitute for or assist other cooks during emergencies or rush periods
- Wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables to prepare them for consumption
- Food production for bakery orders for various groups and events
- Regular and consistent attendance at work
- Perform other related work duties as assigned
