Job Requirements

  • a minimum of one year experience in a pastry kitchen preparing and cooking
  • positive energy and willingness to assist support staff
  • basic ability to speak, read and understand baking and cooking directions
  • effective communication skills
  • flexible schedule to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to stand and walk constantly with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting
  • adherence to all kitchen and health regulations

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • prepare all dessert and baked good items on the menu using standard recipe cards
  • adhere to standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and quality standards
  • maintain a clean and sanitary workstation following all health regulations
  • complete daily prep lists and closing checklists for assigned duties
  • report all product shortages, equipment problems, or food quality issues promptly
  • assist fellow support staff and work collaboratively with the team
  • follow kitchen rules, policies, and procedures as directed by the pastry chef or manager-on-duty
