Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent experience
- Culinary certificate or degree preferred
- Associate's degree in pastry arts or certificate from a culinary institution highly desired
- Strong baking techniques
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment
- Creativity in designing desserts
- Attention to detail
- Excellent organization skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to accept criticism
- Ability to lift, push, carry 20 to 40 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift, pull, push, bend, and move items in support of hotel operations
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Create and prepare a wide variety of baked goods including cakes, cookies, pies, pastries, and breads
- Decorate desserts with frostings, glazes, and toppings to enhance visual appeal
- Develop new menu items and custom desserts
- Manage inventory and order ingredients and supplies
- Maintain a clean, hygienic kitchen environment and manage kitchen staff
- Keep accurate records of food costs and inventory
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
