Job Requirements
- 1-2 years experience in the country club or hospitality industry
Job Qualifications
- Ability to produce pastries and work in a kitchen environment
- Must be able to multi-task and think quickly
- Ability to communicate well orally and in writing
- Ability to work in high volume production atmosphere
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with many interruptions
- Flexible schedule to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food prep checklists
- Prepare desserts, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods for guests and members
- Prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning, chopping, and storing food before use
- Safely and appropriately use baking and measuring tools, equipment, and appliances to prepare baked foods
- Follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures
- Check and ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food
- Set up work station to ensure freshness and quality
- Assist pastry team members to complete tasks on time
- Break down work station at end of service day
- Ensure pastry kitchen is clean before leaving
- Communicate with members, coworkers, management, staff and others in a professional manner
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions
- Follow a daily prep list
