Job Requirements

  • 1-2 years experience in the country club or hospitality industry

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to produce pastries and work in a kitchen environment
  • Must be able to multi-task and think quickly
  • Ability to communicate well orally and in writing
  • Ability to work in high volume production atmosphere
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with many interruptions
  • Flexible schedule to work days, nights, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food prep checklists
  • Prepare desserts, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods for guests and members
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning, chopping, and storing food before use
  • Safely and appropriately use baking and measuring tools, equipment, and appliances to prepare baked foods
  • Follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures
  • Check and ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food
  • Set up work station to ensure freshness and quality
  • Assist pastry team members to complete tasks on time
  • Break down work station at end of service day
  • Ensure pastry kitchen is clean before leaving
  • Communicate with members, coworkers, management, staff and others in a professional manner
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions
  • Follow a daily prep list
