Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • At least 3 years experience as a pastry cook in hotels, restaurants, country clubs, or similar industries
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English
  • Effective communication skills
  • Working knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
  • Knowledge of measurements, conversions, nutrition, and diet
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to provide photo samples of dessert and pastry creations

Job Duties

  • Prepare pastries, baked goods, and desserts under the guidance of the Pastry Chef
  • Prepare all food according to standard recipes and special dietary orders
  • Organize pastry production in a cost-effective manner and comply with health and safety standards
  • Maintain workstation in a safe and sanitary condition
  • Comply with standards for personal hygiene and dress code
  • Operate and maintain kitchen tools and equipment properly
