Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of prior experience in the pastry department of a high-volume, full-service restaurant or supportive role preferred
  • valid food handler certification if applicable
  • ability to manage time and organize tasks effectively
  • ability to work with minimal direction or supervision
  • capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • food handler certification if applicable

  • flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Prepare all pastry items for the restaurant according to specifications
  • demonstration, preparation, presentation and execution of each menu item held to restaurant standards
  • produce food on a timely basis and be well-educated regarding the menu
  • maintain a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, pastry, cooking, and refrigeration equipment
  • follow departmental policies as well as restaurant rules, regulations and policies set forth in the Employee Handbook and by management
  • report any maintenance or repairs needed to kitchen equipment
  • provide excellent quality and presentation of all food to guests
  • prevent spoiling and contamination of foods by implementing proper sanitation practices and ensuring compliance with policy and health regulations
  • maintain a high level of cleanliness in kitchen facilities
  • take on responsibilities outside of this job post when needed
