Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. recommended but not required
  • Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily
  • Ability to sit, use hands, talk, hear
  • Occasional standing and walking
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. recommended but not required
  • Experience in baking or pastry preparation preferred
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • Attention to detail in product presentation
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Produces quality pastry baked and non-baked goods
  • Prepares non-baked goods and finish baked goods including filling, decorating, plating and cutting
  • Follows standard recipes in cook books and function orders
  • Reviews requests for banquets and restaurants by reading function sheets
  • Creates special order pastries as requested by customers
  • Maintains work area for cleanliness, safety and readiness for use
  • Covers and labels food according to sanitation standards
