Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. recommended but not required
- Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily
- Ability to sit, use hands, talk, hear
- Occasional standing and walking
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. recommended but not required
- Experience in baking or pastry preparation preferred
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Attention to detail in product presentation
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
Job Duties
- Produces quality pastry baked and non-baked goods
- Prepares non-baked goods and finish baked goods including filling, decorating, plating and cutting
- Follows standard recipes in cook books and function orders
- Reviews requests for banquets and restaurants by reading function sheets
- Creates special order pastries as requested by customers
- Maintains work area for cleanliness, safety and readiness for use
- Covers and labels food according to sanitation standards
