The Ned NoMad is a distinguished members' club and hotel situated in the bustling heart of New York City. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a fast paced and professional environment
  • Previous experience working in a high-volume and pastry forward restaurant
  • Proven success of champion of the culture, facilitating excellent communication and engagement
  • Team focused with an understanding of the bigger picture and how you can contribute
  • Able to effectively manage different stakeholders and be persuasive
  • Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands
  • Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours
  • Fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the club to others
  • Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift at least 20 to 60 pounds
  • Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required
  • Must be able to use step ladder

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Daily preparation of pastry items in the pantry and/or other areas of the kitchen
  • Prepare all pastry items to recipe and order as trained to ensure consistent product is served for our members globally
  • Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the Company for production and a-la-carte dishes
  • Restock all items as needed throughout shift
  • Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills
  • Properly use and maintain kitchen equipment
  • Assist with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested by the Chef, Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager
