Job Requirements

  • Able to perform the essential functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting quality standards
  • ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards
  • must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
  • must be able to sit, stand, and squat frequently

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in a professional bakery, pastry kitchen, or restaurant setting (Italian pastry experience preferred)
  • knowledge of bread baking, pastry techniques, and dessert plating
  • ability to follow recipes precisely and maintain consistency in product quality
  • strong organizational and time-management skills
  • able to multitask in a busy environment
  • team-oriented attitude with a passion for the culinary arts
  • flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • culinary or pastry degree or certification is a plus

Job Duties

  • Prepare and bake a variety of house-made breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and desserts according to restaurant recipes and standards
  • produce gelato, sorbet, and ice cream
  • maintain mise en place and ensure product freshness and quality at all times
  • operate and maintain bakery and pastry equipment safely and efficiently
  • monitor ingredient inventory, assist with ordering, and minimize food waste
  • maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area in compliance with health and safety regulations
