Job Requirements
- Must be competent and knowledgeable in basic and complex pastry methods
- must have the ability to drive pastry production independently
- must have strong project and time management skills with high attention to detail
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment autonomously and take direction
- ability to apply common sense and reason in work-related situations
- must display high professionalism and interpersonal skills for effective communication
- ability to read, write, and communicate fluent English
- ability to process multiple tasks and resolve sensitive issues using critical thinking
- willingness to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- physical ability to perform essential job functions including transporting fifty pounds
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- successful completion of a two year culinary school course preferred
- minimum two years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking
- ability to comply with county health regulations regarding Hepatitis A vaccinations
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of pastry items including cookies, cakes, and desserts
- work directly with the Catering Department to create exceptional membership experiences
- create new and exciting desserts to refresh club menus and engage members
- decorate pastries using icings, toppings, and other embellishments to ensure beautiful presentations
- check quality of materials and condition of cooking equipment
- maintain a clean and organized cooking station adhering to health and safety standards
- perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Sous Chef and culinary leadership team
