Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a pastry cook or in a related culinary role
- Strong understanding of pastry preparation and baking techniques
- Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Commitment to following food safety and hygiene standards
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a pastry cook or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or hotel environment
- Solid understanding of pastry techniques, including mixing, baking, piping, and decorating
- A genuine love for culinary experiences and a passion for Japanese cuisine
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Friendly and customer-oriented with a commitment to creating memorable dining experiences
Job Duties
- Assist in the preparation and production of a diverse range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods, following recipes and guidelines established by the Head Pastry Chef or Head Chef
- Execute precise measurements and techniques to ensure consistency and quality in all pastry creations
- Prepare and assemble components for plated desserts, including sauces, creams, garnishes, and accompaniments
- Bake, decorate, and finish pastries and desserts with attention to detail and presentation standards
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to maintain a smooth workflow and uphold Etaru's standards of excellence
