Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of experience in pastry arts or baking preferred
  • Ability to follow directions and learn quickly
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License and meet driver safety policy requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Culinary or pastry arts coursework preferred but not required
  • 1-2 years of experience in pastry arts or baking preferred, culinary school experience acceptable
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to follow directions, learn quickly, and adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • High level of personal accountability and work ethic
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively with a team

Job Duties

  • Prepare ingredients for pastries, desserts, breads, and other baked goods
  • Measure and mix ingredients accurately according to established recipes
  • Operate baking equipment such as mixers, ovens, and proofing cabinets
  • Assist in decorating cakes, tarts, and plated desserts in line with presentation standards
  • Follow recipes and guidelines set by the Pastry Chef and Assistant Pastry Chef to ensure consistency
  • Maintain high standards for taste, texture, and appearance
  • Perform quality checks throughout and after the preparation process
  • Keep the pastry station clean, organized, and properly stocked
  • Uphold hygiene and food safety standards at all times
  • Wash and sanitize tools, equipment, and work surfaces regularly
  • Assist with inventory checks and restocking of pastry ingredients
  • Help receive and properly store deliveries
  • Work efficiently to meet production deadlines, particularly during peak service times
  • Assist with mise en place to ensure readiness for daily service and events
  • Continue developing skills and knowledge under the guidance of the Pastry Chef and Assistant Pastry Chef
