Job Requirements
- 1 years of kitchen preparation and cooking in an upscale restaurant
- 1-2 years experience in high volume or fine dining pastry kitchens
- ability to communicate effectively with management and staff
- excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills
- knowledge and utilization of a variety of cooking styles, methods, techniques, trends
- ability to organize prep items from different areas and outlets
- follow sanitation procedures and maintain organized work areas
- meet with chefs to review assignments and business levels
- plan, prep, set up and prepare quality pastry products
- prepare menu items following recipes and yield guides
- monitor inventory of prepared food items to minimize waste and manage 86's
- maintain food and supply inventory and notify management of restocking
- ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- 1 year of kitchen preparation and cooking experience in an upscale restaurant
- 1-2 years of experience in high volume or fine dining pastry kitchens

- knowledge of sanitation procedures and work area organization
Job Duties
- prepare all mise-en-place and production items for pastry menu items such as pastries, desserts, breads, and baked goods
- maintain clean and organized workstations consistent with restaurant standards
- operate daily with efficiency, respect, friendliness, professionalism, teamwork, knowledge, patience, awareness, compassion, courtesy, and initiative
- adhere to all programs, procedures, standards, specifications, and training programs
- lift and handle food items weighing up to 20 lbs
- communicate effectively with management and staff
- plan, prep, set up and prepare quality products including pastries, desserts, breads, ice creams, and sorbets
