Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of experience in pastry cook role
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English
  • Effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
  • Understanding of measurements, conversions, nutrition and diet
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Must provide photo samples of pastry and dessert work

Job Qualifications

  • At least 3 years' experience working as a pastry cook in hotel, restaurant, country club or similar industry producing pastries, desserts and breads from scratch
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively
  • Working knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance
  • Understand measurements, conversions, nutrition and diet
  • Comfortable working independently as well as with others
  • Must be able to provide photo samples of dessert and pastry creations

Job Duties

  • Prepare pastries, baked goods, and desserts for food and beverage department, community residents, daily specials, and special events
  • Prepare all food served according to standard recipes and special dietary orders
  • Organize pastry production in a cost-effective manner and in accordance with health and safety standards
  • Maintain assigned workstation in a safe and sanitary condition
  • Comply with standards for personal hygiene and dress code
  • Operate and maintain kitchen tools and equipment properly
