Job Qualifications
- Minimum of one year experience in a pastry kitchen preparing and cooking
- Positive energy and readiness to assist support staff
- Ability to read, speak and understand basic baking and cooking directions
- Effective communication skills with managers, employees, and guests
- Flexibility to work various shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, push, pull, or lift as required
Job Duties
- Prepare all dessert and baked good items on the menu using standard recipe cards
- Adhere to standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and quality standards
- Follow kitchen rules, policies, and procedures
- Complete daily prep lists and closing checklists
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work station adhering to health regulations
- Report product shortages, equipment problems, or food quality issues promptly
- Assist and support fellow staff as a team player
