Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year experience in a pastry kitchen preparing and cooking
  • Positive energy and readiness to assist support staff
  • Ability to read, speak and understand basic baking and cooking directions
  • Effective communication skills with managers, employees, and guests
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, push, pull, or lift as required

Job Duties

  • Prepare all dessert and baked good items on the menu using standard recipe cards
  • Adhere to standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and quality standards
  • Follow kitchen rules, policies, and procedures
  • Complete daily prep lists and closing checklists
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station adhering to health regulations
  • Report product shortages, equipment problems, or food quality issues promptly
  • Assist and support fellow staff as a team player
