Job Requirements
- Culinary education is strongly preferred but several years of commercial cooking experience may substitute
- previous experience in a pastry kitchen, ideally in a high-volume or fine dining environment
- strong understanding of pastry techniques, including baking, decorating, and plating
- attention to detail, with a commitment to producing high-quality pastries and desserts
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks effectively
- excellent teamwork and communication skills
- eligibility to work in Canada without sponsorship

Job Duties
- Clean and process raw ingredients, preparing mise-en-place and bases for pastry items
- ensure high standards of food hygiene, storage, and kitchen cleanliness
- complete Food Safe Training certification
- prepare consistent, high-quality pastry items per guest orders, following recipe and presentation standards
- set up and maintain workstation for breakfast, lunch, or dinner service, prepping only what is needed
- operate, maintain, and clean kitchen equipment such as fryers, stoves, and mixers
- label, rotate, and store perishables properly, checking stock levels and noting shortages
- minimize food waste, adhering to food cost and usage policies
- communicate with the Pastry Chef, contributing to menu development and recipe creation
