Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience as a pastry cook or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or hotel environment
  • knowledge of pastry techniques and baking processes
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • strong communication and teamwork skills
  • physical stamina to stand and perform tasks for extended periods
  • commitment to food safety and hygiene standards

Job Duties

  • assist in the preparation and production of a diverse range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods following recipes and guidelines established by the Head Pastry Chef
  • execute precise measurements and techniques to ensure consistency and quality in all pastry creations
  • prepare and assemble components for plated desserts including sauces, creams, garnishes, and accompaniments
  • bake, decorate, and finish pastries and desserts with attention to detail and presentation standards
  • collaborate closely with kitchen team to uphold Zuma's standards of excellence
  • maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry work area
  • ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations
