Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year of experience in a pastry or baking role within a high-volume, full-service restaurant
- Food Handler Certification if applicable
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- One year prior experience in the pastry department of a high-volume, full-service restaurant or supportive role preferred
- Food Handler Certification if applicable
- Time management and organizational ability for high quality food production
- Ability to work with minimal direction or supervision
- Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
- Flexible schedule to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Prepare all pastry items for the restaurant according to specifications
- Demonstrate, prepare, present, and execute each menu item to restaurant standards
- Produce food on a timely basis and be well-educated regarding the menu
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, pastry, cooking, and refrigeration equipment
- Follow departmental policies, restaurant rules, regulations, and policies set forth in the Employee Handbook and by management
- Report any maintenance or repairs needed for kitchen equipment
- Provide excellent quality and presentation of all food to guests
- Prevent food spoilage and contamination by implementing proper sanitation practices and ensuring compliance with health regulations
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness in kitchen facilities
- Take on responsibilities outside of this job post as needed
