Job Requirements
- minimum of 1-year pastry chef experience in full service restaurant or equivalent
- punctuality in meeting scheduled hours
- maintain clean and well-groomed appearance
- safely transport containers up to 30 pounds
- stand or walk for entire shift
- work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- perform in limited physical space with variable ventilation, smoke, and extreme temperatures
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- perform daily walk-through inventory to prioritize product utilization
- identify and communicate inventory and equipment needs to ordering manager
- coordinate with executive chef to ensure production standards
- assist in development and maintenance of pastry recipe books
- assist in development of dessert menus and items
- produce pastries for restaurant and special functions
- prepare ingredients for pastry recipes
- prepare pastry items according to prescribed recipes
- maintain food quality standards including consistency and presentation
- coordinate proper food storage according to operating procedures
- work dessert station on line when necessary
- use equipment as prescribed for menu item preparation
- safely and efficiently use knives and utensils
- operate position functions alone if necessary
- maintain clean and orderly work area for safety
- communicate problems to management immediately
