Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Two years of recent experience as a baker or pastry cook or equivalent
  • No felony theft or stealing convictions
  • Ability to pass pre employment drug and alcohol screen
  • Ability to pass background investigation
  • Must obtain and maintain a gaming license
  • Ability to safely use and administer cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work evenings weekends holidays and irregular shifts
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members
  • Must follow tribal city state and federal health and food safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school degree or GED preferred
  • Two years of recent experience as a baker or pastry cook or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment utensils tools and machinery
  • Knowledge of safe practices in a kitchen environment
  • Ability to communicate read and write basic English
  • Ability to demonstrate outstanding guest service
  • Ability to work in a busy fast paced environment
  • Ability to perform professionally with organized coordination among team members
  • Knowledge of basic foods and food safety regulations
  • Ability to teach basic culinary methods techniques and principles
  • Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of management

Job Duties

  • Cooks and prepares a variety of foods according to menu and business demand
  • Uses and learns proper knife skills cooking and baking techniques methods and terminology
  • Understands and follows standardized recipes for all food venues and outlets
  • Maintains communication with Pastry Chefs regarding food and product needs
  • Maintains and sanitizes work area and kitchen following all health and food safety regulations
  • Ensures assigned venue or kitchen areas are clean organized and ready for operation by designated times
  • Responsible for cleanliness organization and labeling of food storage areas and equipment
