Job Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in a professional bakery, pastry kitchen, or restaurant setting (Italian pastry experience preferred)
  • Knowledge of bread baking, pastry techniques, and dessert plating
  • Ability to follow recipes precisely and maintain consistency in product quality
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • able to multitask in a busy environment
  • Team-oriented attitude with a passion for the culinary arts
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Culinary or pastry degree or certification is a plus
  • Able to perform the essential functions consistently safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting quality standards
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and squat frequently

Job Duties

  • Prepare and bake a variety of house-made breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and desserts according to restaurant recipes and standards
  • Produce gelato, sorbet, and ice cream
  • Maintain mise en place and ensure product freshness and quality at all times
  • Operate and maintain bakery and pastry equipment safely and efficiently
  • Monitor ingredient inventory, assist with ordering, and minimize food waste
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area in compliance with health and safety regulations
