Job Requirements
- Able to perform the essential functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting quality standards
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
- Must be able to sit, stand, and squat frequently
Job Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in a professional bakery, pastry kitchen, or restaurant setting (Italian pastry experience preferred)
- Knowledge of bread baking, pastry techniques, and dessert plating
- Ability to follow recipes precisely and maintain consistency in product quality
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Able to multitask in a busy environment
- Team-oriented attitude with a passion for the culinary arts
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Culinary or pastry degree or certification is a plus
Job Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of house-made breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and desserts according to restaurant recipes and standards
- Produce gelato, sorbet, and ice cream
- Maintain mise en place and ensure product freshness and quality at all times
- Operate and maintain bakery and pastry equipment safely and efficiently
- Monitor ingredient inventory, assist with ordering, and minimize food waste
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area in compliance with health and safety regulations
