Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • less than one-year related work experience
  • no supervisory experience
  • no license or certification required
  • ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • capacity to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds
  • ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
  • compliance with company policies and procedures

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards
  • prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning, chopping, and storing food
  • safely use baking and measuring tools, equipment and appliances
  • follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and personal hygiene procedures
  • check and ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food, report issues to management
  • wash and disinfect kitchen area, set-up and break-down workstation, comply with sanitation and cleaning procedures
  • monitor the quality of food prepared and portions served throughout shift
