Job Requirements

  • previous culinary or pastry experience preferred
  • flexible scheduling availability to work early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to work as part of a team or individually
  • strong time management skills and self-motivation to complete tasks in a timely manner
  • ability to stand on your feet for 75% of the time and ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • basic knowledge of ingredients, piping and writing with icings and chocolate
  • ability to do basic math quickly and accurately

Job Duties

  • prepare a wide variety of goods from scratch such as breads, cookies, cakes, pies, ice creams, and chocolates following traditional and modern recipes
  • prepare goods for a wide variety of presentations including plated desserts, buffets, and private caterings
  • complete daily prep lists and organize daily tasks to adhere to timetables in which certain items must be baked daily and ready for service
  • decorate pastries using a variety of icings and toppings to ensure beautifully finished products
  • ability to visually inspect ingredients and completed recipes to ensure only the highest quality products are used
  • daily checks of frozen/fresh par items and ingredients
  • work in a clean and safe manner adhering to all Food Handlers guidelines
  • participate in daily/weekly/monthly cleaning tasks including, but not limited to, dish washing, wiping down and sanitizing work surfaces, cleaning stock shelves, fridges, freezers and deep cleaning
  • work within a strong team dynamic to create and execute new and exciting desserts for menus that change monthly
  • assist in other areas of the kitchen when needs of the business arise
