Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • able to obtain CA Food Handlers Certification
  • willing to work variable hours according to event schedules
  • able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • Pastry degree or graduation from a certified apprenticeship program
  • 2-3 years cooking experience in contract foodservice industry, preferably in premium services, catering, and concessions for sports and entertainment venues
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to multi-task and prioritize in deadline-oriented environments
  • strong commitment to high-level customer and client service
  • demonstrated initiative and leadership
  • customer service oriented with capability to interact with all management levels
  • flexibility to work extended hours including late nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Maintain a friendly, positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times
  • direct, implement, and maintain a guest service and management philosophy as a guide to team members
  • meet with the Executive Culinary Team to review assignments, business levels, changes, and relevant job information
  • ensure only the highest quality products are served to guests
  • demonstrate strong baking and pastry skills
  • apply knowledge of bread baking and advanced pastry techniques
  • maintain and comply with county health and sanitation as well as Legends Hospitality standards
  • provide efficient service and quality products by maintaining positive customer and client relations through effective communication and prudent financial practices
  • ensure all kitchen equipment is properly operational and regularly cleaned
  • rotate to other service locations as necessary
  • perform additional related duties as assigned by management
