Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- able to obtain CA Food Handlers Certification
- willing to work variable hours according to event schedules
- able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Job Qualifications
- Pastry degree or graduation from a certified apprenticeship program
- 2-3 years cooking experience in contract foodservice industry, preferably in premium services, catering, and concessions for sports and entertainment venues
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- ability to multi-task and prioritize in deadline-oriented environments
- strong commitment to high-level customer and client service
- demonstrated initiative and leadership
- customer service oriented with capability to interact with all management levels
- flexibility to work extended hours including late nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to work effectively in team environments
- high organization and attention to detail
- ability to remain calm under stress
- ability to maintain positive guest service and body language
- capability to make decisions without immediate supervision
Job Duties
- Maintain a friendly, positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times
- direct, implement, and maintain a guest service and management philosophy as a guide to team members
- meet with the Executive Culinary Team to review assignments, business levels, changes, and relevant job information
- ensure only the highest quality products are served to guests
- demonstrate strong baking and pastry skills
- apply knowledge of bread baking and advanced pastry techniques
- maintain and comply with county health and sanitation as well as Legends Hospitality standards
- provide efficient service and quality products by maintaining positive customer and client relations through effective communication and prudent financial practices
- ensure all kitchen equipment is properly operational and regularly cleaned
- rotate to other service locations as necessary
- perform additional related duties as assigned by management
