Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 3 years experience in pastry cook role
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
  • Understanding of food measurements, conversions, nutrition, and diet
  • Ability to work independently and with a team

Job Qualifications

  • At least 3 years experience as a pastry cook in hotels, restaurants, country clubs, or similar industries producing pastries, desserts, and breads from scratch
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively
  • Working knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance
  • Understanding of measurements, conversions, nutrition, and diet
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively

Job Duties

  • Prepare pastries, baked goods, and desserts under the guidance of the Pastry Chef
  • Prepare all food served according to standard recipes and special dietary orders
  • Organize pastry production in a cost-effective manner and in accordance with health and safety standards
  • Maintain assigned workstation in a safe and sanitary condition
  • Comply with standards for personal hygiene and dress code
  • Ensure proper operation and maintenance of kitchen tools and equipment
