Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years experience in pastry cook role
- Ability to communicate in English
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
- Understanding of food measurements, conversions, nutrition, and diet
- Ability to work independently and with a team
Job Qualifications
- At least 3 years experience as a pastry cook in hotels, restaurants, country clubs, or similar industries producing pastries, desserts, and breads from scratch
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively
- Working knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance
- Understanding of measurements, conversions, nutrition, and diet
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
Job Duties
- Prepare pastries, baked goods, and desserts under the guidance of the Pastry Chef
- Prepare all food served according to standard recipes and special dietary orders
- Organize pastry production in a cost-effective manner and in accordance with health and safety standards
- Maintain assigned workstation in a safe and sanitary condition
- Comply with standards for personal hygiene and dress code
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of kitchen tools and equipment
