Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of relevant pastry experience
  • Food Handler Certification if required by local law
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to perform kitchen duties safely and efficiently

Job Qualifications

  • One year of experience in the pastry department of a high-volume, full-service restaurant or supportive role
  • Strong time management and organizational ability
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
  • Food Handler Certification if applicable
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Passion for delivering excellent guest service

Job Duties

  • Prepare all pastry items for the restaurant according to specifications
  • Demonstrate, prepare, present, and execute each menu item to restaurant standards
  • Produce food on a timely basis and be knowledgeable about the menu
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station including tables, shelves, pastry, cooking, and refrigeration equipment
  • Follow departmental policies and company rules and regulations
  • Report any maintenance or repairs needed to kitchen equipment
  • Provide excellent quality and presentation of all food to guests
  • Implement proper sanitation practices to prevent food spoilage and contamination
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness in kitchen facilities
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed in a dynamic work environment
