Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year of relevant pastry experience
- Food Handler Certification if required by local law
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions
- Capability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to perform kitchen duties safely and efficiently
Job Qualifications
- One year of experience in the pastry department of a high-volume, full-service restaurant or supportive role
- Strong time management and organizational ability
- Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
- Food Handler Certification if applicable
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Passion for delivering excellent guest service
Job Duties
- Prepare all pastry items for the restaurant according to specifications
- Demonstrate, prepare, present, and execute each menu item to restaurant standards
- Produce food on a timely basis and be knowledgeable about the menu
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work station including tables, shelves, pastry, cooking, and refrigeration equipment
- Follow departmental policies and company rules and regulations
- Report any maintenance or repairs needed to kitchen equipment
- Provide excellent quality and presentation of all food to guests
- Implement proper sanitation practices to prevent food spoilage and contamination
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness in kitchen facilities
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed in a dynamic work environment
