Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- fully competent in baking and pastry
- two or more years experience in a high-volume kitchen
- flexible availability for extended hours, including weekends and holidays
- ability to work cooperatively in a team
- ability to stand for long periods
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- valid California Food Handlers Certification
- valid California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- fully competent in all aspects of baking and pastry
- minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume preparation environment
- flexibility to work extended hours including late nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to work in a team environment
- ability to remain on feet for entire shift
- ability to lift, move, and maneuver up to 50 pounds
- ability to perform constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions
- valid California Food Handlers Certification
- valid California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification
Job Duties
- Bake cookies, cakes, and sponge
- make mousse, custards, and meringue
- cook fruit products
- follow procedures and directions of the Pastry Chef and management
- assist in developing and tasting recipes
- prepare specialized pastries for catering and decoration
- assist in baking breads, pies, cakes, and cookies as per production sheets
- plate desserts to order
- perform breakfast, lunch, and dinner pastry station service
- check food presentation and color coordination
- follow proper serving methods including portion sizes
- ensure menu boards are accurate
- break down and clean various stations
- inspect and secure areas at end of shift
- carry up to 50 pounds
