Job Requirements

  • Relevant baking or pastry experience
  • Ability to work overnight shifts
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a pastry cook or baker preferably in a luxury hotel or high-end establishment
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques and pastry preparation
  • Ability to work overnight shifts and maintain high energy and focus
  • Basic understanding of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene standards
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Attention to detail and creativity in baking
  • Ability to work well within a team and demonstrate flexibility
  • Physical stamina to handle extended periods of standing and lifting up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • Safely and appropriately use baking and measuring tools equipment appliances to prepare baked goods
  • Follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures including personal hygiene
  • Check to ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food and report issues to management
  • Monitor the quality of food prepared and portions served throughout the shift
  • Keep management informed of excess food items that need to be utilized
  • Follow company policies and procedures including safety and security report accidents injuries and unsafe work conditions to a manager complete safety training and certifications
  • Understand and be the driver of the agreed culinary concepts goals philosophies and food and beverage directions
