- basic baking skills or culinary training preferred
- prior experience in food preparation or pastry cooking helpful
- ability to follow recipes precisely
- good physical stamina for standing and lifting

- knowledge of or ability to learn kitchen safety hygiene and food handling standards
- flexible availability including early mornings evenings weekends and event-based shifts
Job Duties
- Set up mise en place for pastry production
- prepare menu items according to recipes and yield guides such as cakes and pastries
- assist in maintaining an inventory of prepped ingredients and alert Chef of any supplies needed
- plate and issue BEOs and restaurant or cafe desserts according to recipe standards
- use equipment and tools safely and properly and abide by state sanitation and health regulations
- keep the kitchen area and tools clean and sanitize equipment at the end of each production run
- organize and put orders away in designated areas
